CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

It is important to expose children to the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They need to know that we are all sinners and the only way to be saved is through the completed work of Jesus Christ which is a gift given to us by grace. We take the opportunity to remind children of God's purpose for mankind. Not all children that we encounter have a Bible knowledge of God so we are meticulous about the children in our midst and we relate to them at their level of knowledge.  We encourage all children  to have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

We are born with the sin nature so we have to take into account that children sin and it does not necessarily stop because they are at church on Sunday. We lovingly help the children to recognize when they have sinned, and we encourage them to confess their sins to the Lord in repentance and allow the Lord to help them to live after the pattern of the Biblical. We bring them to the awareness that they are not too young to serve the Lord and it is best to start at their tender age.
YOUTH MINISTRY

We offer a safe, loving, and wholesome atmosphere for young people. We have a program that helps young people become formed in their faith. Teenagers have needs that are entirely different than that of their parents, therefore they need to be given special attention in order to retain their interest in the church and spiritual beliefs.

At Living Waters Church of God, our youths are loved, encouraged, challenged, and strengthened as they grow in their faith. Our youth ministry's primary goal is to help our youth develop and maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by providing them with the resources they need to grow in worship and become grounded in the Word. A variety of worship experiences help young people connect with God and one another. We teach them to develop their individual prayer and spiritual life. They also engage in activities such as games, sports, crafts, community service, etc., which enriche them and help build a sense of worth. We aassist them in developing values, ethical norms, and a sense of Christian community as they interact with adults who authentically model the Christian faith. We also give them the opportunity to witness to and serve others.

We offer them life skills and support groups that will help guide them into making wise decisions at this critical time in their lives. We desire to raise young people who are committed to Christ and committed to have the Christian leadership experience they need to make a difference in the body of Christ and in society.

MINISTRIES
Each week children will be taught Scripture memorization, they will be taught how to pray, they will be given the opportunity to be involved in plays, recite poems, sing songs and much more. This is so they can develope a love for God through basic Bible teachings and activities, which will help them develop a solid relationship with the Lord.

Our Sunday School ministry offers love and support to our children as they discover themselves and aim to become all that they are meant to be within and outside the church setting.
MEN'S MINISTRY
THE MEN'S EXERCISE PROGRAM

Our aspiration is to see all men rescued, transformed, and empowered through Christ to fulfill their individual calling to the glory of God.  We are here to call, equip, and encourage men through Christ-centered, Bible-focused, Spirit-led worship, prayer, fellowship, and Bible study so that they can fulfill God's call on their lives and in turn impact their family, community, nation and the world. We motivate them to pray, act, and obey God.

The men's ministry is designed to build men to live according to Scripture. We build a community of men who will have the opportunity to build a strong pray life. Our men's ministry helps to build relationship as men from the community meet on one common ground and that is to know about the Lord Jesus Christ through the discussion of Scriptures, activities, and through interaction with each other. Sharing their skills and hobbies and networking is a great tool in the bonding process. They will engage in fun activities which will help to aleviate stress and bring to life the spirit of brotherhood. The Bible says, "How good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity (Psalms 133:1). Men getting to know men is a vital part of the ministry because it helps them understand each other as they share ideas, failures, triumphs and testimonies. This enables them the opportunity to learn from each other.
WOMEN'S MINISTRY
THE WOMEN'S EXERCISE PROGRAM

Our desire is to meet the needs of each woman in the church in all seasons of her life, and also to meet the needs of those in our community and around the world. We will purpose to inspire, support and challenge each woman on their journey to their divine destiny. We will provide an atmosphere that is condusive to healthy spiritual growth. Our focus for the women's ministry is a Christ-centered focus. Women are able to meet and support each other as they glean and share their ideas and experiences. We will strive to build a Biblically healthy women's ministry.
Meaningful relationships are formed within the ministry and the church at large as women connect to God and to each other.  They will have the opportunity to grow in their relationship with God. Women are encouraged to discover their spiritual gifts and use them to glorify God, as these gifts are further develop through service within the church and community. Women from various backgrounds are ministered to through Bible studies and other growth resources. As we give attention to inreach (reaching women within the church) and outreach (reaching women outside the church), we will organize a special network of information, services, and activities to appeal to those women. In the women's ministry, women receive mentoring and lay counseling, older women (in age and spiritually) mentor younger women.

As women interact with each other, families are changed because women are drawing closer to the Lord. Marriages are saved, children are covered in prayer and so much of God's power is demonstrated as women come together in prayer, accountability, and support. Women also receive help to fight spiritual battles within the circle of ministry and they develop inner strength through Bible study, as well as the support of like-minded women who stand firm against the enemy. Because of the close-knit relationship with other spiritual women, women are eqquiped in the local church and are able to enrich each others' lives through Christ. We help women discover their spiritual gifts to use in ministry, as well as determine their needs within the community as we lead women to accept Christ as Lord and Saviour. As they maintain a healthy love relationship with Christ, they will be able to boldly share their faith with others.
Field trips are a great asset because it gives men the opportunity to interact outside the church setting.  They bond through praying and studying the Word together and this helps to strengthen their relationships with God, each other and with their families. As they develop and become Biblically grounded men of faith, they will begin to understand the Scripture that says, "And ye are complete in him (Col. 2:10). They will lead their families in worship, exlore the Word of God in study, reach out to men in the community with the Gospel, and help hold other men accountable to God's standard. To God be all the glory.
MARRIED COUPLES MINISTRY

The goal of the Married Couples Ministry is to help strengthen marriages through Biblical principles, increase the understanding of husband and wife roles in God's order, and to understand the role of the family in the church. Marriage enrichment courses and activities are offered to help couples build their relationships. Issues that are of concern to couples will be discussed and guided from the Bible's perspective. The Married Couples Ministry will help build Godly marriages by providing tools for improving communication and building a strong relationship. Prayer and workshops that cover various subject matter will be key roles in this ministry. Marriage is God's idea and he has a purpose and plan for each marriage.
SINGLES MINISTRY

We offer two different types of singles ministry.  The Singles Ministry embodies people who have never been married and we also offer a singles ministry for those who have been married but are now single due to circumstances.  The Singles by Circumstance Ministry is made up of people who have gone through either a divorce, separation, or who are widows or widowers.
The Singles Ministry is a ministry dedicated to the development of personal maturity, character, integrity, and stability in the lives of single individuals. We are not a dating service. Our desire is to assist singles in learning how to seek God first. We stress holiness as a lifestyle before God and man which leads to a victorious life in Christ. Our method for achieving this goal is through the teaching  of the Word of God, as well as through praying and fellowship with each other.

We aim at producing single individuals whose lifestyle is in direct contrast to the world's concept of the single person. We aspire to be a people whose delight is in the law of the Lord and who are willing to demonstrate to the world that being single in the Lord is a delight and not a burden. Our primary focus is to please the Father and to be adequately prepared to fulfill the purpose of God in our lives. As we strive to edifying each other through encouragement,  personal growth and development in the knowledge of the Word of God  will be inevitable.
MOTHERS BOARD

The Mother's Board is a group  of older women of good character, wisdom, and who love the Lord and the Church. The women examplify holy living in the family as well as in the church.  Their asset to the body of Christ is that they fulfill the word of God in Titus 2:3-5, "The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."

The mothers are also advisors to our unmarried sons and daughters, and to everyone in general. They are intercessors, they are advisors to the pastor, and they assist with the preparation of candidates for baptism and they also visit the sick and shut-ins.

OUTREACH MINISTRY

Our outreach focuses on the great commission which commands us to go and make disciples (Matt. 28:18-20). We obey the command of the Lord which tells us to seek and save the lost (Lk. 19:10).  We desire that none perish (2 Pet. 3:9) because of our compassion toward the lost (Matt. 9:36-38; 23:37).

We have answered the call to preach the Word of God in season and out of season (2 Tim. 4:2-5; 1 Pet. 3:15); we will be the light of Christ unto the world. (Matt. 5:14-16); we will be the salt of the earth (Matt. 5:13); and we will show forth the praise of Him who has called us out of darkness into his marvellous light (1 Pet. 2:9); we will be his ambassadors unto the nations (2 Cor. 5:18-20); and will persuade them of the righteousness of God (2 Cor. 5:11); we preach, proclaim, herald, the living Word of God (2 Tim. 4:2); as we teach all nations about the wonderful love of God (Matt. 28:20); we are not ashame but testify of the testimony of the Lord (2 Timothy 1:8).

Given our passion for the Lord, we will not only tend to the spiritual need of our community, but we will also engage ourselves in helping in areas such as feeding the poor and needy, visiting those who are in prison, engaging in community services and making our presence known in the lives of those around us.

God Wants To Heal Your Hurting Soul

a body. Our soul has multiple compartments that are called emotions. "Soul" means "emotions". So when we say "soul" we are talking about all the emotions we are created with that is wrapped in a package called "soul." When our soul is wounded, our body and spirit are affected in a negative way. There are many hurting people who appear whole but they are broken and hiding behind masks. This ministry focuses on the person as a whole. God wants us well not only spiritually but emotionally and physically. Yes, he wants us whole in our mind, soul, body, and spirit. If we are not whole we will not be able to be all of what God has created us to be. In this group we discuss topics that are of interest to those who are present in the group. Any person can introduce a subject matter that the group can discuss. A person can also discuss personal experiences of hurt and pain or even positive experiences as they choose. With the discussion of topics of interests, it gives each person the opportunity to share their experiences and also to be supportive to others who might be hurting and who have chosen to disclose the cause of their pain. We create an atmosphere of understanding and healing. This is a support group that gives each other the opportunity to talk about things that are of concern to them and where they can get support without being judged. We are bruised and sometimes broken by circumstances and even sometimes by our own actions, whether through ignorance or through rebellion, but whatever the cause of our brokenness, there is healing for all. We are here for each other to help mend the broken pieces of our lives so we can be ready to take on the tasks of which we are called in the kingdom of God and in society as a whole.

Topics of discussion are limitless. A person does not have to share personal experiences but can raise topics that have to do with society, current events, religions, situations that they notice within the church, and various other topics. May this group help you find your wealthy place and also give you the opportunity to help others find their wealthy places as you share your thoughts on various subject matters.

The quest of this group is for each person to be given a voice so that we can help each other overcome obstacles and attain a holistic life: mind, soul, body and spirit functioning at optimal performance.
